Hi, with markdown export coming to Apple notes, does this mean it will be easier to migrate from Apple Note to Bear?

The export to markdown in Apple Notes only works on an individual note basis. So you’d have to export them one at a time.

Agreed but just like the Automator script that Bear already has for HTML batch export presumably a script could be written to export all to MD.

Hi, does anyone know if the automator script will be updated for MD instead of HTML?

I’m not sure we can have the script working with an MD export instead of HTML.
However, if you select all the notes in a folder in Notes (CMD+A in the note list) and select `File > Export As > Markdown` in Notes, a folder containing all your notes and attachments will be generated. If you then use `File > Import From ... > Markdown Folder` in Bear, the note content and the attachments will be imported.

There are some issues with preserving note linking and other Notes specific functionalities, but images and attachments are imported along with the content.

Hi, thanks for the response. I tried exporting everything from AN in markdown but the import ignored all the images and attachments. However, if I export from AN one by one the import seems robust enough.
