# Are HEIC images supported

## Bug report

**What were you doing** :  
Was looking to see heic image on bear web

**What happened** :  
HEIC images don’t display on the bear web app

**What did you expect to happen** :

HEIC images should be rendered

are heic images supported on web or is there a problem with my setup ? Here’s a screenshot:

Hi! Currently HEIC are not supported by Bear Web, since browsers in general do not support them across platforms (e.g. Chrome on Windows, like in your example). We would need to convert them to a more widely supported format (like PNG or JPEG) to be able to render them in a platform independent way. We are tracking this feature already, and may do that later down the line, but it’s not currently among the high priority items.
