Is there a way to give Claude Code access to your notes?

If not, I really hope it will be possible in the future.

> In response to [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/bearapp/comments/1r1ff7e/to_the_shiny_frog_people/) Reddit post I built a new CLI that uses Apple’s CloudKit REST API to read / write / edit / search bear notes instead of using the x-callback API or the SQLite database. It will work much better for LLM interactions, and is less fragile than either of the options I listed above. Try it out and let me know how it goes.

There are a few out there. Including this one that was once a strong CLI, but now includes an MCP as well, with tons of functionality and a more durable way of exchanging information with Bear (CloudKit).

> MCP server and CLI for Bear notes. Let Claude read, search, create, and edit your notes — or use them from the terminal.

I use Serhii´s solution and couldn´t be happier. A big timesaver! [GitHub - vasylenko/bear-notes-mcp: MCP Server for Bear note taking app available as Claude Desktop extension or standalone server for any other AI tool · GitHub](https://github.com/vasylenko/claude-desktop-extension-bear-notes)
