**Operation system** : macOS 26.6.1 and Windows 11 **Web Browser** : Tested on Safari, Zen, Helium * * * ## Bug report **What were you doing** : Tried to login to Web Bear **What feature did you use** : Login? **What happened** : I always get the “Authentication error” (see screenshot) **What did you expect to happen** : Let me login 🙏🏼 * * * **Feedback:** For some reasons, for a few weeks now I can’t relogin to Web Bear. FWIW, I have ADP enabled on my Apple account. Is it something related to your implementation of the auth or an Apple issue? ---

What happened: I have a split setup where my iCloud account and AppStore accounts are different (not sure if it matters). If I log in with the former (iCloud), the error is It comes from the iCloud login window popup. I have advanced protection enabled on that account FWIW, so that might be the issue. When I … but if ADP should prevent access to Bear Web, why can I still access it on my logged in session? and why did it worked for months too? ---

Hi and thanks for your feedback. Excellent questions. ADP compatibility on the API has been fluctuating quite a bit over the past months: we found that without us touching the authentication side of the app, it flipped between working and not working (and sometime back) for different users over time. When you say that “I still access it on my logged in session”, is that still in Bear Web (on a different browser maybe), or in your native app? If it’s a browser by browser issue, it may be that some of your browsers have an extension or something that interferes with the login process. Any extra information you can give us (either here in the public forum or in private) is precious, I’d be happy to work with you on resolving this. ---

Hi, that’s unfortunate how its API compatibility is fluctuating 😕 To give you more details: - I’ve been dailydriving Zen for months, and I’m successfully logged in on Bear Web for months now (havent had to relogin since), it still works fine as I write - I wanted to try Helium weeks ago, and part of my tests was to see if I could access Bear Web, that’s when I encountered the login issue I mentioned in my op - I tried on different browsers (fresh Zen profile, Helium, Safari), with and without extensions, on wifi and 5G, on a Windows pc and on a Macbook, and I always got thrown the Auth error - I “successfully” logged in my Helium to Bear Web by manually copying the auth token stored in local storage from Zen, which worked fine, as long as the token doesn’t expire I guess - Tried troubleshooting by logging in on Bear Web and using the official Cloudkit docs’ playground ( [CloudKit Catalog](https://cdn.apple-cloudkit.com/cloudkit-catalog/#authentication) ), both are failing If you need specific info that could help you, ask away, I’ll try to give you as much details as I can (even technical) 🙏 ---

Hello, any updates or changes to this bug with the advent of iOS27. I still can’t web login despite using different os (win, Mac and linux) and using clean browser (Mullvad).
