# Cursor jumps to first line in edit mode

I have the same version of the app as you, but cannot replicate this behaviour. Force closed and re-opened it I presume?

I also have this in Bear on my iPad. It happens several times a day. Suddenly whenever you tap in a mote to add text etc there, the cursor jumps to the top of the note. From then on, you’re lost - this will continue to happen every time you tap inside a note, in every note, making it impossible to add anything inside a note. Only remedy is to force-close the Bear app and restart it. Intensely irritating!

Hey guys, thanks for reporting the bug. We are currently investigating the issue but we can’t replicate the issue in our system. 🤔
Could you let us know if you can always trigger the issue with certain procedure? This would help us to so much to understand how the issue started at first place.
At the same time, please let us know if the issue persists after updating to iOS18, we guess it could be a system bug!

I am seeing the same behavior. I have tried and tried to find a specific case when it happens but thus far it is sporadic.
For example, I may open a note and touch inside it to edit and all of a sudden the cursor is at the beginning of the first line editing it.

I’ve also encountered this a few times.
Dunno exact repro steps though.

I use version 2.3.8 and have the same behavior. The jump to the beginning occurs especially when I work on the iPad with the Magic Keyboard.

I too am having issues with the iPad and Magic Keyboard, especially with clicking into tables with the trackpad or entering the table by moving the cursor via keyboard. Can’t click in at all, and when I key into the table, it always jumps to the top.

I get weird cursor behaviour both on iPad and iPhone regularly
