# Extra tags appearing on the sidebar

## Bug report

Extra tags appear on the sidebar on bear web even though they are not present. I recently removed one tag and renamed it to some other tag on bear macos and now the web version shows the removed tag and when clicking on it, no notes are being showed. See the #ai tag which was removed from bear completely (there are no notes tagged with it, but still the web app shows that tag)

Hi, congratulations, you found a bug we noticed only yesterday. A fix for the cause of this issue is coming with today’s update; this should prevent new empty tags from appearing… the one you already have, however, may persist a little longer, as we didn’t add any self-healing logic yet.
