Image Placement Abnormalities

Just installed the latest beta Version 1.0.0 (4458). Things to try that seem off…

  1. Duplicate a doc with an image in the body—you have to do it in the Finder as there is not duplicate document function. When the duplicated doc is opened, the image no longer displays. Only the path is there.
  2. Go to a doc with an image. Right-click the image and choose Copy. Then go to a new doc and paste the image. Only the file name is pasted.
  3. Go to the Finder and select an image (like on the desktop). Copy that image (Command+C) without opening the image. Paste it into a doc. Nothing shows up in the doc, instead the folder you’re currently in in Lettera is duplicated into the currently selected folder. This happens even if you move away from the app and the Finder is the front-most app when the Copy function is used.
  4. Do the same thing as Option 3 above, but this time go to the Lettera’s iCloud folder. Find an image and perform the same steps. The image is correctly displayed in the doc, but the image is not duplicated into the current Finder folder (assuming you have Settings set to place the images into the doc’s parent folder). Instead, it must be referencing the original image file path. I would think once the image is pasted, it would create a duplicate of said image into the doc’s parent folder.

Sorry if that’s hard to follow.

Images are generally saved in an /images folder, and the path name in the .md document selects this, so if there is no /images folder or equivalent at the document root, the images aren’t going to work. Just copying and pasting an image doesn’t respect this convention, so it’s not going to work.

Thanks for your reports and requests. I don’t happen to be able to simulate 3, do you mind providing a quick video of this issue (maybe via DM)?
