# MCP Server, scoping via json?

I'm looking to use the Bear MCP server with non-Claude LLMs (eg Kimi / Gemini(Antigravity).

Is there a way to pass the Only Tags / Exclude Tags arguments via the json config - eg something like:

"bear": {
      "command": "/Applications/Bear.app/Contents/MacOS/bearcli",
       "args": ["mcp-server"],
       "only-tags": ["work", "todo"],
       "exclude-tags" ["private", "personal"]
}

```

Yes, it would be part of the arguments in the json. You can run `bearcli help mcp-server` to see what it accepts. Also, the tags are passed as comma separated string and not JSON arrays.

```auto
"bear": {
  "command": "/Applications/Bear.app/Contents/MacOS/bearcli",
  "args": [
    "mcp-server",
    "--only-tags", "work,todo",
    "--exclude-tags", "private,personal"
  ]
}

```
