Rendering artefacts when toggling sidebar with hotkeys

  • OS Version: Tahoe 26.1

  • What were you doing: Using hotkeys to manage UI layout

  • What feature did you use:

  • What happened: When toggling ^3, there are rendering artefacts on top of the sidebar. It doesn’t affect usability and nothing crashes, but it looks off.

  • What did you expect to happen: I expected the UI to render correctly.

Important addition - this only happens in full-screen mode. When I exit full screen, the UI immediately returns to normal.

We are aware of some visual issues and crashes of the fullscreen mode on macOS 26, but those appear to be caused by an OS bug. The crashes seem to be fixed in macOS 26.2 beta; hopefully, these glitches will be fixed too.
