# Selecting TimesNewRomanPMNT text doesn't highlight it

- Bear version: Bear 2.3.12 (13245)
- OS Version: macOS Big Sur version 11.7.10
- What were you doing: I was inside a note, trying to select text that was already there in order to make it Bold.
- What feature did you use: I tried double-clicking the word; I also tried using the Shift key + Arrow keys to highlight the text for selection.
- What happened: I was able to select the text using both methods, but the normal light blue highlight/selection was invisible. Like, the text was selected, but I couldn’t visibly see that it was selected. It was like the highlight was invisible. I knew it was selected because when I tried Bolding or using Italics, the text changed successfully.
- A quick fix: Turns out, it was the font I chose. I had chosen “TimesNewRomanPMNT” and this font for some reason causes the issue described above. I then changed the font to instead be “BearSansUI-Regular”, and the blue highlight feature when selecting text worked like it should/like normal!
