# The Ability to drag and drop notes onto tags in the left vertical side bar

I (and I assume nearly everyone) would love the ability to drag a note (or even better- multiple notes) onto the left vertical bar to drop the notes on a given tag which would assign those notes to the tag. This would GREATLY streamline and speed up the process of organizing notes.

This function is already there on Mac, iPad and iPhone Max (in landscape mode)

Note! In the iOS/iPad note list, there is a special “hidden” trix:  
Tap and hold first note, then select more notes with a second finger, and finally drag this “note stack” over and drop it onto a tag in the left tag panel.

The tag to apply (drag to) has to to be there already of cource.

But I would love to be able to assign a _ **NEW tag** _ to multiple selected notes.  
Please count my vote on that @trix180 and @matteo 🙂

That sounds like a really useful feature! Drag-and-drop functionality would definitely make tagging much faster and more intuitive. Hopefully, the devs consider adding this. It seems like a small change that could have a big impact on workflow. Have you seen any workarounds in the meantime?
