It would be great to have a middle status on Todo’s. Most tasks have 3 states, Nothing (or Not Started), Working on it (in progress), and Done. As it is, we only have off and on which is too simple. Maybe something like in bowling. Nothing, slash for a spare, and an X or checkmark when complete.

Ambivalent about WIP states as it feels like you’d want to physically group all the items under “Doing” / “WIP” anyway, through moving them physically, tagging or otherwise
+1 on allowing - [-] to be recognised as a canceled state. I have a lot of legacy documents that use this, and it looks like broken syntax in Lettera.
I have hundreds of projects, about a quarter of which are being worked on. Once done the “move completed to bottom” works great to separate them. I am not against a canceled state, as long as it is just another state I can use for my own purpose of in-progress.
