# Unlocked note auto-locking closes separate note window

Use case:

- I have a locked note, that I unlock because I want to work with it.
- I open the note in a separate window and keep it on screen
- The note is locked automatically after 5(?) minutes of inactivity, and the note window is auto closed.

My expectation:

- When a locked note is unlocked and active on screen, it is not locked automatically, regardless of me not typing into the window.
- OR when a note in a separate windows is automatically locked, the window remains open and I can unlock the note without going back to the main Bear window.
- OR I can configure in Bear whether I want to lock notes automatically after inactivity, or not (I’d prefer no).
