The process to connect Claude Desktop to Bear is incredibly easy and powerful. After a few simple steps I asked Claude to eliminate redundant notes, simplify my tags, and suggest improvements. Claude fixed numerous issues with my notes — it’s really incredible. KUDOS to the Bear team for making this so easy and flexible. I will never abandon Bear!

I totally agree; after seeing this message I did the same, and it cleaned out hundreds of duplicate notes from an accidental double-import. I also had it re-tag some obvious notes, and it showed me where I had “scraps” of short old notes that were intended to be temporary but got swallowed up. I went from 1800+ notes to about 1400. It took a while but it was worth it!
