# V1.0.0 has changed how it renders .mmd files

After updating to v1.0.0, Lettera would not render a preview but only displayed the code without a Preview option. Earlier versions would treat .mmd files the same as .md files, so finding this was a shock and took considerable time to correct. As this behaviour has changed, if would have been helpful if we had been alerted to this.
