Designer, Engineer, Researcher. A messy mix of a person, constantly putting on the shoes of a creative, mechanical or electrical engineer, software developer, e-commerce, operations manager…depends on the day :boom:. Good organization and record-keeping is a fundamental necessity to ensuring my sanity. Definitely some things I’d like to see implemented, but by far the best I’ve tried.

Bear enables a quick, stress-free, and trustworthy space/experience for all of my critical data. Still back things up regularly though - and Bear exports make that easy too! And can easily open up exported notes in VSCode with little headache or worry about what app I’m currently in. Some of my Bear use-cases:

• Notes for specific jobs/tasks
• Back-linking tasks to a longer-term project
• Jotting down ideas and sketches on the fly
• Listing out materials and supplies on hand and/or to acquire
• Tables of options for longer term capital investments - to compare details, pros, cons etc
• Tracking trends, costs, and more to inform decision making
• Record-keeping of machinery and tools - product specifics, serial numbers, suppliers, dates, warranty details, etc. So they’re not lost down the road when you need them most
• Same for digital tools - laptops, software keys
• Network and Web management - IPs, SSH, hosting info, logins for various switches, NAS units, etc
• TDS/SDS PDFs or raw data for everything we use
• Product manuals, how-to’s, and tips
• Things that worked, or didn’t - often referenced years later

Bear gets it all done.
