I’m testing Lettera Beta… Looks nice… I don’t know if you are aware, but there already is a app in the Apple App Store called “Lettera”.

And that is why the Bear themed tradition must continue. Polar Editor/Writer or Grizzly or Kodiak or some other bear. I vote Polar Writer.
Also i just downloaded the app and it looks exactly like what i thought a bear markdown editor app would look like. Absolutely uncanny.

Lettera could be a temporary name, or a code name for now. But it’s clear that the devs need to ensure that there’s no other app that exists already. I don’t think you can reserve names on the App Store. Also, I saw a case recently where a well known app found another app with its name, and the App Store told the developer of the original app, that had been on the store for a very long time, to “sort it out with the other developers.” That didn’t go over well, and was resolved by the App Store, but Apple clearly doesn’t care too much about things like that.
I always liked the bear themed names too. Bear, Panda, etc. Lettera is too generic in my opinion.
