Bear Cloud - In-house, any plans?

I saw some users asking for the ability to connect to other cloud providers. But, I’d be fine - if Bear offers a cloud included - if someone doesn’t want local storage.

I’m currently using Evernote, with a subscription. So, I’m used to having things on the cloud - and can access it anywhere.

While I really loved the import experience here transferring notes and the UX, I dont have iCloud - nor do I plan to get one. So, just wanted to know - is there any plan for it, or will it be totally local-focused?

As long as you have Bear Pro, iCloud is used for synchronization. You don’t have to “get iCloud” in the sense of buying space on your Cloud Drive.

So, it will sync my attachments + text notes too? Or, it will depend on the space I have on iCloud? Thanks for the quick response - but could you help me get more clarity here?

No, it doesn’t depend at all. One thing has nothing to do with the other.

Ah, alright, that makes sense now, I’ll give it a try then as I love the UX, cheers!

Quick update: attachments do take space in your iCoud account.

But, the free storage was enough for me.

Cancelled Evernote for Bear app.

Fingers crossed for them to improve the web experience for cross device and more interesting/useful features :raising_hands: .

Was primarily using Evernote for its voice transcription feature, but ended up using APIs + Hermes Agent to transcribe things now. So, rest of the note taking transferred to here.
