Drag and drop to generate external attachment

Is there a way to drag and drop an external file from Finder to bear, and it only generate a link to that file? I know there is the “cmd-k” and then drag to the “address” field to create the “file://” link, but was curious if there was a hidden feature where holding “ctrl, cmd, or option” would generate a link while performing this method. Attempting to avoid creating a ton of duplicate files on my mac.

This is not something you can do in Bear at this time, the only way to generate a file path is to add file:// to the address bar in our link feature.
