Footnote links created manually in table generate strange Error -50 (v9695)

If you

• Create a table
• Add footnote links using the regular Markdown syntax ([^1] in the table, then [^1]: some text at the end of the note)

Clicking in the footnote link in the table results in this strange error (“Can’t open application, Error -50”).

we received reports about this last week but the fix was not ready in time for 9695. We’ll fix this for the next beta update.
