Would it be possible to add a way to view a note as pure, unrendered markdown, the actual text of the file as it is stored? Something equivalent to Obsidian’s Source mode, where you see the literal syntax instead of the formatted output.
It would be handy for checking the exact markdown, copying clean source to paste elsewhere, and editing the raw text directly. Thanks for considering it!

It’s not on our current TODO list, but Lettera is still a newborn app and we’re gathering feedback to steer it toward what’s most useful for our users, so we’ll definitely discuss it.
If that’s greyed out for some files, you have to click an element with Markdown tags, such as the Title for it to become available. I find that very ideosyncratic behaviour.
I’d also love a raw/minimally formatted view, like ia writer.
Any chance we can get copy as markdown into the edit menu so we can assign shortcut keys to it?
Cmd+C already copies as pure markdown (and rich text at the same time).
Pasting as markdown depends on the receiving app. So in most text/md based app: Cmd+V will paste raw markdown, but in some apps that support rich text like Mail, Word and TextEdit, one may have to “paste and match style” to get raw Markdown.
Exactly, which is why having the copy as markdown command which is available in the right click menu, but not in the edit menu, would save time, because then we can keystroke it and we don’t have to worry about which app is receiving it.
