When you Search in Bear, the results should be in the same order as you have chosen for your Notes (below), but they actually appear in an arbitrary order.
“Hi, thank you for bringing this to our attention, it actually is a bug! We will have it fixed in 2.1.2!”
…but I’m on Bear 2.6.5 (on iPad OS 18), and this still hasn’t been fixed…
…and it‘s extremely frustrating - I often search for a phrase I know I used recently, but I have to comb through dozens of older search results to find it.
Search results are sorted by note list preference, but pinned notes and notes that match the search criteria in the title are priorities because they are more likely to be what the user is looking for.
I understand some might prefer we don’t prioritise the titles, but at the moment, the vast majority seems to be ok with the current behavior.
This refers to a different problem regarding the sorting not being applied to the search results, and the creation date was always used.
