Table Paste Bugs - Crashes Bear and Reformats Table

  • Bear Version: 2.3.5 (12991) and the version from last week
  • OS Version: macOS 15.1 (24B83) and 15.1.1 (24B91)
  • What were you doing: Copy links and pasting them as plain text into tables using keyboard shortcuts
  • What feature did you use: Paste Plain Text with keyboard shortcuts
  • (1) What happened: Bear crashed after pasting, deleting, then repasting the link as plain text
  • (2) What happened: Bear reformatted the table after pasting the link into the table
  • What did you expect to happen: The links should paste in the table without crashing and reformatting the table

I found two bugs after pasting links into tables. See screen recordings too.

Table Paste Bug - Crash

  • Paste a link into the table, so it becomes a hyperlink
  • Edit the link and copy the link with keyboard shortcuts
  • Select All and delete the pasted link with keyboard shortcuts
  • Shift+Option+Command+V Paste any link with Paste and Plain Text in the same table field you deleted from using the keyboard shortcut
  • Bear crashes
