With the recent email about the alpha testing for the web app, just wondering how we can get in line for that? The lack of a web app has been something that has been holding me back from using Bear much these days since while I have a MacBook and iPhone for most everything, at work I am stuck on a Windows machine. Would love to get to testing this so I can utilize Bear to its fullest again. Hoping that this also brings out a cross-platform Webclipper for Bear too!
Sign me up for that!
Hey there! At the moment we will manually select the starting alpha testers here in our community forum. At the beginning we will only invite a limited number of testers for the alpha phase and then gradually open more seats.
Gotcha, well if I can throw my name in the hat to help manually test I have hundreds of notes I need to migrate back over from Joplin into my Bear app and this would be a fantastic test of doing so
Same here, have been waiting and following updates for Bear web clients for a long time. Would love to join the alpha testing phase.
I’d love to be a part of the web app testing as well! I’ve been following Bear for years, but could never fully commit due to the need for access on my Windows machine at work. I’ll be subscribing once the web app is available
I’m certainly keen to test out the alpha, flipping through three laptops at work right now none with the same Apple ID haha
Long time Bear user. Would be interested in providing as much helpful feedback in the beta as possible.
Also here: I’m totally up for testing. Daily use, PKM, read it later, hyperlinking etc. When the web app is done I’ll be switching to Bear for the rest of my life.
Agreed -totally up for testing
If you need an experienced Bear user with a broad variety of devices including Linux (which may be interesting for the web application) I would be very happy to test and provide feedback. I’m a computer scientist with a strong background in software quality management.
