Another Request for Workspaces

I will help fund this with extra Bear Coins. I want to separate the contexts I work in. In Craft app, I can have different spaces for each of my businesses, along with a separate one for personal stuff.

I like the idea of workspaces. It would help with organization, focused content, and context.

I find that when I’m in “thinking and writing” mode, it really pulls me out of being able to be creative to have to see “to do” notes pop up in the search, alongside zettelkasten and creative notes.

However, I would really like to have all of my notes in Bear and not have to switch apps.

So, I am a vote for workspaces or some sort of work-around.

:star: What about a “mute tags” feature?

For example: You could have all of your “to-do” tags muted, so that they aren’t visible in the sidebar and don’t show up in search?

Muting is an interesting idea. It hides what we don’t want to distract us. And with nested tags, we could mute the parent and any organizational structure that falls under those parent tags (my businesses or projects in another “workspace”) would be hidden. Great thinking!

This is a clever idea

Here’s yet another reason for having workspaces:

I use Bear for work, and some of my work takes place in regulated enterprise settings where using external cloud storage isn’t allowed. I’d love to save those notes only locally, separate from the ones I still want to sync with iCloud.

I recently tried out Obsidian for its vaults as well as a better split screen view. Ultimately, I much prefer Bear but vaults/workspaces or some way of hiding tags would be helpful.
