I love using raycast with bear notes and it’s incredibly useful to search for the notes from the command bar itself. However, in previous versions of the extension I am using it seems it allowed to append text to a note. This is useful as I maintain a monthly log where I just log all the interesting things, thoughts, etc similar to Andrej Karpathy’s append and review note system. Has anything changed now or are there any alternatives to achieve this with raycast ?
I haven’t been, because I am mostly on iOS or iPadOS devices most of the day. However, I just saw yesterday that Raycast is now available for iOS, so I plan on checking it out.
I use raycast but don’t use the extension that much. Instead I have hotkeys setup to instantly open my most used notes. You can either trigger a quicklink or apple shortcut to open it.
I’ve just found out about Raycast. Up until now I’ve used Bear with the native spotlight. I’ve come across this Bear App extension in the Raycast store, however, I’m pondering about the privacy implications of it. Like, is any data whatsoever leaving my device if I allow it?
The extension opens and queries Bear’s database directly so Raycast can, in theory, read data and send it somewhere. I don’t think this is the case but I can’t speak for them.
