Many applications and websites nowadays feature a command palette that you can activate by pressing CMD+K or CMD+P, which enables you to control the entire app through the keyboard.
It would be great for Lettera to have a global command palette for keyboard-oriented file opening, search, app or file actions, etc. Examples of apps that do this really well: Todoist, Raycast Notes.
Bear needs this too, imho, and it is one of the reasons Bear feels outdated to me compared to other modern apps; see links below for Bear requests:

For the most part, in a text editor, you can do all this with keyboard shortcuts, if you don’t want to use menus. It’s not like there’s a lot to do in Lettera, outside of formatting. This said, there are markdown editors that have a formatting palette; more than the simple bar in Lettera, or the footer in iA Writer, but a full palette, which can be useful for formatting beyond the basics that most people can remember shortcuts or characters for.
It’s definitely a power user thing. I use Obsidian, and I’ve never found it to be a time saver; in addition, plugins can add their own commands (like macOS services), making it a bit of a mess.
