This is something you can already build or approach quite well with Shortcuts. Bear has very powerful capabilities in that department.
You can’t get the link pasted back in the calendar events note section. All you can do essentially is paste the details of a calendar event onto a note.
You need to use the URL field. I’ve just done it manually and it works (with Fantastical).
Yes, linking via Shortcuts works, and that is fine and good. What I am looking for with calendar integration would be the ability to assign a note to a date, whether it be past, present, or future. I would love to be able to jot something down in Bear that maybe I don’t need to see for another two weeks and not have that note resurface again until a date of my choosing without having to invoke Shortcuts or involve any other app.
It’d be nicer to have it natively, the ability to set notes to a set date such as a meeting next week and then when I open my today view I see that note I dated for that day. With a built in calendar I’d like to be able to click on the event and directly create a new or append note directly in bear.
Guys, you have to remember that Bear works on top of somewhat standard Markdown and that is its whole design philosophy. Calendars and dates are very far from this, and considering that this is historically a divisive feature with all apps that implemented it, I would not hold my breath.
