Any update on this bug on iOS 17 dev beta 5 by any chance?

I can see the cursor on both iPhone and iPad now (previously wasnā€™t working on iPad), but thereā€™s still no indication when text is highlighted.

Okay, big thanks for checking it out. So you canā€™t see at all where text selection starts and ends? Sounds pretty disruptive.

So I was testing on my iPad with keyboard attached originally - when youā€™re selecting with the mouse thereā€™s no indication at all, but when you do it via touch on phone or iPad, you do get the normal cursors at the beginning and end of the selection, just not the highlight. A little frustrating but workable for now at least.
