I would love a “stickies” style menubar application that syncs with my notes in Bear.app.
Once I become accustomed to Bear.app’s writing syntax and how it renders text, you start wanting the same functionality in a “stickies” application that can always be visible on screen. (I am aware that a volunteer has developed and released a similar version for Obsidian).
Let’s use Bear for Post-it note style tasks as well!
would also like this, someone made a companion app “BearClaw” once upon a time but I don’t think it is activly developed anymore.
Is this different from opening a note in new window and floating it on top?
Now :
1. launch/open Bear.app
2. create new note
3. Open a new note in another window
4. The active window loses focus when performing an action.
5. Drag and drop notes into the sidebar trash can when they are no longer needed.
Bear Stickies
1. tap Bear Stickies on menubar item.
2. Open a new note in another window that Bear note
3. Keep the note window on top.
4. When you’re done, just close the window and it will automatically be moved to the Trash.
This is starting to sound like a technical spec.
