- What happened: All headings of same level show their icon
- What did you expect to happen: To see just the icon of the selected heading
Why would you ever have a header with no content underneath it? If you put some actual text under one of the headings, the behaviour you show here doesn’t happen.

not strictly a bug, but surely an unwanted behavior (I have this on my list, but it’s very low priority). It’s happening because the same header style is contiguous and we’re extending the showing/hiding markdown range for all of it.
Eventually I’ll find the time to “fix” it
The video was created for the purpose of demonstration and shows the undesirable behaviour in its pure form. Furthermore, it is not unusual to write texts in such a way that you first think about the basic structure of a chapter, then write the headings and then fill in the sub-chapters
Depending on what you are doing at the time, other funny behaviours can be seen. Here is another example, that this is not only unwanted but somehow weird and annoying (even when no heading is selected the icon could be shown):
