Initial Feedback: Zen Mode, Rename Note & History

Really liking Lettera so far, particularly how well how Mac like it feels (particularly with the sidebar in MacOS27). A couple of feature requests / questions that sprung to mind after having a bit of a play:

  • Zen Mode: Really like the zen mode from panda which stripped away all the chrome from the edit window; would be really great to get the same in Lettera (so it’s just the traffic lights and nothing else). Would also tie in nicely with the (hopefully forthcoming) typewriter mode.
  • MacOS Tags: I’ve long wanted MacOS tags to be intergrated nicely with a markdown app! Really like that I can add them with the file menu. Are there any plans to intergrage them more i.e. through right clicking on a document. Would it be possible to display tag colors in the file browser window?
  • Attatchment Location: I know this has come up before, but being able to specify a folder would be really handy.
  • Browse History: [ and ] to navigate through history like bear.
  • Rename Note to Title: It would be nice to have the option for the note to pick up the H1 title (or perhaps in the fancy new MacOS automatically generate the title based off the note contents?). So far a I spend a bit of time renaming untitled.md to the title I want. Could be get a shortcut that would do either of the above?

Cheers,

Julian

You could use ⌘+return to toggle the focus between the editor and the sidebar. So when you create a file:

  1. ⌘+return to focus on the name of the file in the sidebar
  2. return to select the title of the file
  3. type the new name of the file
  4. ⌘+return to go back into the editor, and type in the file
