This template is for bug report only:
- Lettera Version: 4266
- macOS Version: 26.1
- What were you doing: Clicked on the Lettera icon in the taskbar
- What feature did you use:
- What happened: The lettera browser window popped up showing “Lettera (iCloud)”
- What did you expect to happen: Nothing to pop up, because I didn’t have any document open
My use case is that I am editing small AI markdown files from Finder. I never ever want to see the Letter browser. I use Finder for that type of thing. So I double-click a file in Finder, use Lettera to edit it and then press the close button. Then some time later, I see in the taskbar that Lettera is still running, so I click on it to see what file is open, and when there is no file open, it shows the Lettera browser saying “Lettera (iCloud)”
I never asked for the browser. If Lettera is running and I click the icon, if it does not have a file open, I expected it to just show the Lettera menu and nothing else.
