Lettera feedback

Overall it looks great.

Some feedback:

  • Longer-term, it would be nice with vault-like structure that Obsidian has. I can combine ‘work’ and ‘personal’ vaults in a single app, but maybe the personal vault isn’t synced to all computers that the work vault is.
  • A mobile app, at least a simple one, is needed eventually. In my case iOS.
  • Great that you have true WYSIWYG combined with markdown! That’s what I lack from Obsidian, which uses CodeMirror, and e.g. Notion or Reflect that does this better uses ProseMirror/Tiptap.
  • Nice with local files. Makes it easy to use with coding agents etc.
  • I would prefer to not use iCloud for sync, some kind of native sync approach would be good. It’s also an excellent way to monetize. Obsidian takes a few bucks each month for sync. Happy to pay!
  • Daily notes as in Reflect and Obsidian would be good.

As an aside, I paid for Obsidian Sync for a year, a couple of years ago, and I had no end of problems. It would not sync entire files; I would make changes in some files, and not all the changes came through. That should never happen, and it undermined my trust in their solution. So I went back to iCloud.
