Long-time Bear user here, and really enjoying Lettera so far! Starting this thread to help consolidate feedback for the dev team — hoping a structured list of must-haves is easier to act on than scattered posts :slight_smile:

Suggested format for this thread:

  1. List up to 3 requests, linking to existing threads where possible
  2. Briefly mention the workflow or reason it matters to you
  3. Keep discussion about specific requests in the linked threads, not here — let’s keep this one clean and skimmable

⠀I’ll kick things off:

  1. File not updated unless we close and reopen the file — crucial for data integrity, especially if we have multiple windows open (e.g. using Lettera to refer to top of doc while editing another part of doc), or multiple editors/machines
  2. Quick Open — several threads on this one, makes navigating within a workspace much much easier and faster, as there’s quite a bit of friction in the current setup (e.g. Selection jumps upon opening a folder sometimes)

Search works perfectly fine for me with command-F. I’m wondering why it doesn’t work for you … perhaps a bug somewhere?

  1. better handling of tables (displaying tables with a lot of columns, sorting, etc.) → this is a request for Bear, as well

It works for me most of the time, so unfortunately it’s not a very reproducible bug. Maybe I should deprioritise it :sweat_smile:
