Note With Tags Will Not Appear in Left Sidebar

Settings

  • macOS: 26.2 (25C56)
  • Bear TestFlight: Version 2.6.7 (14033)

What Happened

  • I have a note with every day listed from 2020 to 2026, and they won’t appear in the left sidebar after being pasted from a text editor or imported into to Bear.
  • Attempt 1: Copying and pasting 2654 lines of date tags from Sublime Text to Bear
  • Attempt 2: Imported a TXT file with 2654 lines of date tags from Finder to Bear
  • The tags do not appear in the left sidebar on any device

What Did You Expect To Happen

  • I wanted a note to be a home for all of my date tags, so they will populate in Bear as I type them throughout my notes

Just the year by itself doesn’t show as a tag in the tag list, but if I write the tag as 02/18/2026, then it creates the tag as written. I also tried it backwards, like 2026/02/18 and it works.

Thanks for testing. If it’s working and not working, I guess a bug is crawling somewhere in the tag system.
