What were you doing: Selecting text to copy
What feature did you use: standard selection method
What happened: when selecting the selected text does not show
What did you expect to happen: when selecting the selected text to be highlighted so that I can see what I am doing. I was triggered that I should note I am working on a secondary screen because of the bug report of July 22 (2nd display, selected text not highlightimg)
Here it is, October 2024, and this is still not addressed. I’m visually challenged, and accessibility is a big deal for me and others who are partially sighted. Contrast is so important. I’m getting tired of guessing if I have the right text selected. The themes override the system setting. Not having access to the themes’ CSS is the problem. If we did, those of us with programming backgrounds could make these changes.
Hey Will! Thank you for the feedback. We reckon it could be an issue from the monitor color calibration, or it can be a result from some of the mild themes with less contrast for aesthetic purpose. May we ask what themes you are using with such issues?
You can also try High Contrast theme and Cobalt theme, both are quite high in contrast. Let us know if these are better in terms of readability for you!
