I would very much like an option to export simple HTML. I see some old posts on this point, but they seem to have gone stale.
When I export HTML from Bear now, I put it into BBEdit editor to reconstruct it with great difficulty, which is silly.
Ideally, I’d like to have some control over the formatting of exported HTML. F’rinstance:
- I prefer XHTML-compatible trailing slashes in empty elements like
<br />. - I prefer
<em>to<i>and<strong>to<b> - I prefer double-quotes on tag attribute values (Bear’s use of single-quotes is puzzling.)
I would also like exported HTML to have more legible formatting with line breaks et cetera. A little would go a long way, but my extravagant dream is to invest some setup to get something close to the elaborate grouping & breaks I do when creating hand-tooled HTML:
