New user here. I plan to use Bear for two separate types of writing: jotting down short notes and writing large chunks of material for a book/paper. I would like to have different formatting/styles/appearances for each (so for instance, different line spacings) but I’d also like the two types of writing to be visually distinct as well, to support my thinking as I work. Is this possible currently? Could it be included in a future update? It seems to be a matter of duplicate settings tied to different tags?
It is currently not possible, as Bear uses Markdown and a global theme per the whole app. It is focused on power and simplicity, so I would be surprised to see that feature happen. Visual preferences notwithstanding, the app would lend itself well for such a workflow: you have an Untagged category which works very straightforwardly as an inbox, and everything else lives under tags. The app is fully functional and free to test, take it for a spin.
