When you go to the 
info button, and click on the 
“Backlinks” arrow, the app crashes and closes.

This seems to be the same bug iPad had - where you cannot view backlinks on headers with emojis.
Hello, a Mac update to fix this issue should be available shortly on the Mac App Store.
