We are back with a new beta release, this time featuring… tagcons!

Features

  • Tagcons! - tagcon icons appear next to tags via the editor callback, as well as in the app navigation

Improvements

  • Performance (Locale packs) - instead of individual files, for an improved performance at bootstrap time.

  • Accessibility - we made some progress toward making Bear Web accessible

  • Updated style - to more closely resemble the native look

Fixes

  • Mobile experience -the navigation in mobile view has been problematic for a while, this release should fix most issues there

  • Session stability - we kept working toward making sure the session is stable and behaves as expected.

  • Theme handling and styles - we fixed a number of visual glitches

Great update, having the tagcons really helps make it look like the native apps.

Would that be why I’m finding hidden ** that only show when I select the text? They are invisible and keep showing up whenever I’m cutting and pasting, I’ve no idea where they’re coming from.

Hi, that doesn’t seem related… it sounds more like you pasted (or typed) a text snippet with bold formatting, and when you’re selecting the text in the note, it’s now showing the markdown markers for the bold format (the ** you mentioned), which is the intended behaviour.

Thank you ! Is there any plan to integrate a “summary” or “table of contents” menu into Bear Web soon? I currently have very limited use of it without this feature.
