Any progress on the bug: #tags/BeingCaseSensitive, leading to duplicate tags and web-app crashes?

Very nice update :folded_hands:

Keep up the good work! :beer_mug:

Work in Progress. It’s top of the list.

Maybe it has already been announced it this section, but I wasn’t able to find any spesifics.

It would be nice to know what your list of planned upcoming features for first release of web.bear.app would be.

To ask more spesific:

Would it include any of the following:

  • Dark mode?
  • Themes?
  • Read Only mode?
  • Info panel:
    • Statistics?
    • TOC panel?
    • Backlinks?
  • Table copy as … ?
  • Note duplicate?
  • Note copy as … ?
  • Note Export as … ?
  • Delete or rename tags in tag list?
  • Read, creation or edits of Locked/Encrypted notes?
  • Other features?

I totally understand, and don’t even expect or want all these features to be part of web.bear.app v. 1.0, but would be nice to know what’s on your plate and what’s on the back burner.

Thank you for all your hard work, I’m really very impressed with how good the look and feel is already, and all your nice work on detail.

:rose::beer_mug:

We don’t have a fixed list like that. We have an idea of what would be feasible, but otherwise we will listen in on the beta feedback.

So I could turn the question around and ask you, what features do you miss the most?

Personally, I would like to use attachment with Bear Web. It is already possible to attach them and succesfully sync them over.

Would be great to be able to download them. Inline preview isn’t directly necessary. To get them out would be enough for the initial state.

Hi, attachment downloads has actually been added as part of this release. As usual, looking forward for feedback.

I should note: downloading an attachment happens only via double click at the moment.

Downloading attachments works very well, thank you.

But Open Image in New Tab, Save As … or Copy Image does not work at the moment:

  • I can copy an image and paste it into same note
  • But if i try to paste into a new web bear note or Word, this is what I get:
    blob:https://web.bear.app/b4e54031-903c-4605-8ee3-2b104e89c2fb
  • Save Image As … also gives an error message (including the ID:string above)

Yes we are aware of that, it is the reason why the release notes mentioned “file attachments”
We’re going to deal with image actions in a future update.
