Love the idea of the callouts. This allows for easier navigation in a document.
My suggestions are as follows:
Ability to change or remove the icon (as others have suggested).
Love that headers can be added to callouts. However, the headers are “indented” in the callout. It would be great if they were completely left aligned (with text that would follow underneath).
In the alternative, any text added below a header should be aligned with the header. Right now, the default is that new text is left aligned. Even tabbing the beginning of the text to the right to match the alignment of the header does not “solve” the problem as long text entry simply rolls to the next line and starts again at the very left. (see examples in attached image)
[Lastly, I cannot see how the callouts are implemented in the Mac app as I am only a beta tester for the web version and not for the Mac version.]
Again, love the concept and will use callouts as soon as the current Mac version is updated with the feature.
We will start with the five callout types as defined by GitHub, and we will have fixed icons for them. We are open to improvements, but we will release this version and see how it is used and what people are missing. We also have to consider markdown compatibility with other apps.
