Can You Drag iOS Messages to Bear

I’m wondering if this workflow is possible.

On iOS 26: I’m dragging messages from Apple Messages to Bear, but they disappear instead of being dropped into a Bear note. I see the cursor in Bear which makes it look like they will land where I dropped them, but they don’t. I can do the same steps and drop them in another Apple Message thread without any issues.

Steps From iOS Apple Message

  • With First Hand: Tap and hold a message
  • With Second Hand: Tap other messages and they will stack (see image below)
    • Swipe up to switch apps to Bear
    • Release the messages in a Bear note
    • Nothing happens. After letting go, they disappear.

When you drag the messages to Bear, do you see a small circle with a plus sign in it? That’s usually the signal that you can drop/insert your text in that spot.
