Completed ToDo list text only minimally greyed out

  • Bear Version: 2.5.1
  • OS Version: MacOS 15.6
  • What were you doing: Completing ToDo’s
  • What feature did you use: ToDo’s
  • What happened: There is almost no visual difference between completed and non completed todo list item
  • What did you expect to happen: the text of completed todo list items would be significantly more greyed out than non completed todo list items

the visual difference between completed and non completed todo list items is barely perceivable in the Gotham theme (seen below). I would assume (and prefer) the level of greying out of the ToDo list item text would match the greying out of the box itself, but maybe that is intentional and not a bug? I realize that the check mark makes clear which items are completed or not, but the lack of visual difference in the text itself makes it harder to quickly tell the difference when scanning through longer ToDo lists.

the difference is a little more visible in other themes (seen below), but I could have sworn it was way more significant in all themes in the past.

What if Bear adopted Craft’s approach?

I would certainly love having those options, but I know the Bear devs have a high priority for minimalism and uniformity across the app (which is a big part of what makes Bear great) so it seems unlikely that adding options like that are something they’d consider implementing.

For what it’s worth, further testing shows that link text is not greyed out at all when ToDo’s are completed, which seems unlikely to be expected behavior.

I agree, we’ll provide a better color for completed ToDos text for the Gotham theme.
