Configure standard export (or .md not .txt)

When I drag and drop a Bear note into the Finder or, for example, into Devonthink, the note is exported as a text file (.txt). It would be nice if I could change this setting. I think it would make sense to export as markdown (.md), since Bear is primarily a markdown editor.

I agree, but at least all the MD syntax is there. So, copy/past does the trick, albeit not conveniently.

I admit what I wrote sounds a bit misleading. Iā€™m only concerned about the extension .txt vs. .md. The file content/syntax is markdown already.
