Create New Pages Via Backlinks

Is there a way to have the note automatically created from a backlink if the note doesn’t already exist? Right now it seems like if you create a new [[backlink]] to a page that doesn’t yet exist you have to click on it for the page to be created.

It’s a fair point. I had the same thought and almost didn’t suggest it because it felt odd at first… but, then again, these are notes… they just happen to be notes that you’ve planned to create. Like adding a tag to an untagged note in Bear?

Also another vote on this - I would request for either:

• have new pages created automatically
• have the autocomplete wikilinks [[ show all links - whether they exist as pages or just as empty links.

I would actually prefer going for the later.

Hello, with the next update we’ll list the [[wiki links]] without a matching note in the autocomplete panel. Regardless of how we feel about Auto-creating notes when a new wiki link without a match is inserted, We are concerned about the implications on every piece of code that parses the note and when this creation should happen. So we prefer not to have this at the moment.
