I use Apple Pencil - or I did, anyway. My previous note app for 10+ years was Notability, but their heavy move into AI territories makes me uncomfortable with all the sensitive data I have (ie, personal, medical, etc.). Yes, I know you can get a BAA, but that isn’t failproof, and while I have seen some healthcare people use Notability for their charting needs, I don’t believe that Notability is guilt-free when it comes to mining and selling data. If they were, they’d post clear information about it, which they don’t.
*gets off soap box; takes a breath*
Anyway, I liked Notability’s handwriting integration/features, and I miss that in Bear. What apps do you all use instead?
This is an area where I personally feel Bear can improve, the ability to zoom and full screen sketch to add detail (to a graph for example) also it take way too many clicks to get into a hand drawn note, I wish there was a widget to fast launch into a sketch note.
I use the Apple Pencil two different ways with Bear: I will either write directly in Bear and use Scribble to decipher my handwriting, or I will sometimes just pop open GoodNotes where I can write, convert to text, and paste the text into Bear. Both are burdensome in their own ways, so I don’t do it often. Depending on what you’re writing, I’d just try using Scribble and see how it does.
