With the imminent release of the public beta for Bear 2.0, it may be a little late in the piece for feature requests, but here goes.
When a user has highlighted a word in the note, and then pastes a link, it would be great if this would generate a link in Bear with the highlighted word being the title of the link.
Slack has this feature and it’s great and I find myself mistakenly attempting this, forgetting Bear does not support it.
+1 This is common behaviour in text-editors, i.e. GitHub, Slack, Notion, Day One, and WordPress.
It can be disorienting when pasting DOESN’T create a link.

I’ve grown so accustomed to apps allowing pasting to create links with selected text that it gets me at least once a day, despite months of daily Bear use. I’d love to see it here too 
This functionality should be available in the latest builds. If you experienced some issues with it please let me know.
