Footnote markdown live preview

Is there some reason markdown in footnotes doesn’t resolve into a live preview for the whole footnote block when you are editing it? It would be nice to have live preview when you’re in a footnote block.

Hello. This is by design but there are margins of improvement: We want the footnote definition markers to be visible when you are in the footnote paragraph. However, we lack the internal logic to expand just the definition markers and the current selection so, at the moment, we expand the whole paragraph.

I’m curious what the rationale for this choice is. From my experience, it’s pretty clear when you’re in the footnote paragraph that you’re there. I guess keeping the definition marker visible reduces the number of clicks you need to do to get back to the fn anchor, but is there some other reason it’s a good idea to keep it visible?
